Peyton celebrated her first birthday with a breakfast of pancakes (her first experience - as you can see she liked it alot) and a strawberry sprinkles cupcake. During the day - when both Gordon and I had to work - she spent the day with Nanny K and her daughter Duffy. They went to the petting zoo - rode the train - and then went to Farrell's where they sang her silly songs and she got a few bites of an ice cream sundae.
That night Auntie P and Uncle Bob stopped by and brought P a bouquet of balloons - that sing - Peyton loved it - we have to continue tapping the balloon to hear it at least 10 times a night now. She also got a sweet Irish bracelet with a claddagh symbol engraved with Peyton's first birthday from friends from Ireland - so sweet.
Last and the grand finale - she had her first cupcake from Sprinkles. We sang happy birthday, she blew out her candle (with help from Gordon) and at first didn't quite know what to do. That didn't last long - and soon that cupcake was history! Lets just say this - SHE LIKES CAKE!
So fun - we feel so blessed this past year - she has been pure joy. We look forward to celebrating at her winter ONEderland party this Saturday with all the grandparents , family and friends!!!
